A fitness enthusiast, certified Kettlebell instructor (RKC), and Z-Health practitioner (R, I, S, T-Phase and 9S certified), I believe in the right tool for the job. In this case, the job is being fit and pain-free for living a great life. All fitness modalities have their place, but from a simplicity and efficiency perspective, I think kettlebells and the RKC system are excellent. For efficient movement and a pain-free life, I’m a firm believer in the Z-Health system.
I have been using kettlebells for about six years, becoming a certified instructor (RKC) in spring 2006. I honestly believe that for general fitness and conditioning, it really is difficult to find a more effective tool.
I learned of Z-Health in early 2007, and instantly knew that it was something special. Applying a scientific assessment process over the principles of how the body functions, and you have a powerful system. I recently completed the 9S: Strength and Suppleness certification, and have set many new fitness PRs using the immense toolbox I’ve acquired through Z-Health.
My fitness background includes Tae Kwon Do, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, and kettlebells. I study techniques and routines avidly, always looking to try something new, and I do this because I love it. I believe that helping people feel good about their bodies, moving pain-free, and achieving their goals is invaluable.

When I went looking for a workout this summer that could accompany my martial arts training, I wanted something that would be an intensive cardio blast that would also build strength and stamina. Not only did I find this and more with kettlebells, I got the best possible introduction to their use from Jen. While I’m no stranger to a hard workout, I’ve never liked or been good with free weights, but Jen helped me get rolling fast and I was increasing weight and doing an intensive circuit with the class in no time. The workout totally kicked my butt (in a good way!) and without any of the focused cramping or tightness like that from traditional weights. Jen’s class is well-balanced with cardio and strength work and lower and upper body focus, and she’s always coming up with something new to keep it interesting. I’d definitely recommend her training. |

Jen fixed my left knee and my wrists! I had hurt my left knee while hiking. Some days the pain in my knee ranged from a dull ache to a sharp pain. For weeks I had trouble walking normally. After trying various things including seeing my doctor, Jen showed me some simple R-phase exercises targeted to my legs. Within two days, I was walking without pain and without a limp. Having had such success, I asked Jen to help me with my wrists. I spend over 8 hours a day at my computer. I had started using wrist guards to help me avoid carpal tunnel syndrome. Jen showed me another set of Z exercises targeted to the wrists and arms. The tightness and mild pain were gone the next day. I’ve since returned those wrist guards. To this day, I remain pain free and much more mobile. Thank you Jen. |
