has been personal training for 6 years and is
certified by NASM, NCSF, and IFPA. Much of his
experience is personal training females, changing
their body composition and motivating them to
see exercise as a daily part of life. Art trains
both males and females with great results, but
regardless of their goals, they all check their
ego at the door, allowing a close bond to be formed
that accelerates their results. As well as overall
fitness he specializes in one-on-one/small group
fitness boxing.

One
of my best students once asked, "Don't you
need to kick, too?" My answer was to put
her through her first session of western boxing,
and she was sweating so hard, and struggling to
breathe a bit, she managed only a small "yeah"
when I asked if the workout was okay.
She
left smiling -- like all of my boxing students
after each session -- knowing that she was learning
real fighting skills while getting the workout
she craved. "I like hitting something instead
of just punching air to the beat of music,"
she added. "It lets off steam!" |

When I
first joined a gym a couple of years ago I knew
I was out of shape and I was a bit frightened
by all the folks that seemed to know what they
were doing, that they were watching me.
Art
helped me understand that we ALL have to start
somewhere and that I'd understand soon enough
that once you start working out you're not paying
attention to other folks. I've worked with Art
and in the process lost about 30 pounds and gained
significant strength and muscle mass. In addition
I have gained a lot of confidence about my body
and my ability to accomplish my goals. Art is
the kind of trainer that helped me shape up my
attitude and perspective as well as my body.
I
don't know if he understands what a profound impact
he has had on my life. |
