A
year ago I got focused and started working out
on a regular basis. I made some progress, lost
a little weight but wasn't really seeing any muscle
definition or feeling any more fit. While I was
consistently putting the exercise time in, I really
didn't know how to make the most of my workouts.
Lucky for me I was given Amy's name for massage
therapy and soon found out that she was a personal
trainer as well. I decided to give personal training
a try. I mean if your car is broken down, you
take it to a mechanic right? So it made sense
that I needed to go to a fitness expert to get
my body into shape.
I am so glad I did! Working with Amy has
made ALL the difference in the world! In three
months, I have seen amazing results! I have triceps
that you can see (and trust me, they've never
been seen before), I completed a 5k (running)
and I have more energy and endurance than ever
before. It's not magic, it's hard, focused work
- which is why Amy's attitude, confidence, skill
and encouragement are all so vital to the process.
I could not have accomplished so much on my own.
It took finding the right person to motivate,
educate and coach me in order to see such success.
Amy has helped me to realize within myself the
priceless gifts of strength, courage, endurance
and confidence! This is much more than I'd dreamed
of - having only had the goal of fitting into
next summers' bathing suit when I'd started.
Truth is, I'm enjoying this journey much more
because it's changing my life for the better!
Thank you Amy! |

Approximately
six months ago, following much chiding from my daughter,
I began a series of weight-lifting and cardiovascular
workouts with Amy Woods.
Because I suffer from both Peripheral Neuropathy
as well as debilitating arthritis in my feet, I
wanted someone who understood my body, not just
in terms of a good workout but from a holistic medical
point of view. I found what I was looking for and
much more in Amy Woods.
She personalizes my workouts, leading me through
strengthening exercises that she carefully monitors
to be certain they do not tax my body in negative
ways. Her R.N. experience, her vast knowledge in
the health and fitness field as well as her personal
caring ways, have provided me with the confidence
to continue striving toward health.
Today, I can easily lift my body weight from the
bottom of the bathtub with my arm strength. I couldn't
do that six months ago. |
